About Us

After reading The Anxious Generation, in a school led book club, a group of parents decided that talking wasn't enough. We realized that the number one reason parents give their kid a smart phone is because they are afraid of them feeling socially isolated.

We knew that for this movement to work, parents needed to see that they have allies in the car line, at the playground, and in the grocery store. We launched the We Took The Pledge bumper sticker to turn a private decision into a public movement. When you see our sticker, you're seeing a commitment to a play-based childhood and a reminder that you and your kids are not alone.
